NIT Silchar is the oldest NIT in NorthEast India. Afterwards TEC has been converted to NIT Agartala. Both have good lab facilities, faculty members and well established campus. The new NITs are struggling to establish proper campus and faculty members. So definitely NIT Silchar and NIT Agartala stands way before the other NITs of Northeast. However if you ask for the best I would say NIT Agartala is now dominating in Northeast after IIT Guwahati because of the number of campus placement and the various offers students are fetching from the companies. So if you are in dilemma between NIT Silchar & NIT Agartala I would suggest you to go for NIT Agartala. All the best for your career :)
