He is only in 8th. Some of the material covered in SAT are 10th and 11th grade materials. Let him take the test for the fun of it. Don't be disappointed if he doesnt earn a great score - let him experience the test. Encourage him. By the time he gets around to 10th or 11th grade, he will be a super star!

Focus on verbal - it is important. You can't memorize words. Instead, get him to read books. The more they read, the better they will do in SAT.

Hi,
Its good that you are planning to pursue a language as it will add value to your resume and also people with knowledge about an extra language are given more preference and moreover German is a good language and is also easy to learn. I would suggest you to join a good foreign language institute rather than gong for a college, a regular three months course will be more than enough and rest you will learn once you start to communicate in German.
