Every other civil or government service in the country is the specialist service, and each person to some extent reaches the top of hierarchy, but in the end our structure is such that the final say is with the IAS officers. Except for some departments like science and technology, defence research and maybe a few more departments, where the specialist is the Secretary. Railways is one exception (don't know for how long). So IAS officer has in a way become the super generalist. The officer's reach is phenomenal and definitely the best job in goal today from this point of view. The only way to get into VIT is by writing the entrance test VITEEE. VIT now has 4 campuses. So, you should get CSE in them! We have a category system. Based on the rank u are called for counseling and you pick your seat! The first category fee is around 12 Lacs for 4 years including hostel and tuition. If category one closes, then you can take a seat in category one of another campus or category 2 based on your campus preference. Fee increases by around 1 Lacs per year in each category!

Hi Vinit,
I think you still have a chance. You have to take the SAT to be eligible and your admission will depends on your SAT. To further improve your application take the SAT subject test also. TOEFL for English language proficiency is required. There is no straight answer if you will be accepted but all you can do is give your best shot. Write a convincing and impressive SOP. Universities in USA will count everything from your academics to your extracurricular activities. Plan properly and it will work out.

Important points to remember for Education loan:
There is no limit for education loan for inland and abroad studies. However, for inland studies loans up to Rs.10 will be classified by the Bankers as priority sector and above Rs. 10 Lacs it would be at higher rate of interest. In respect of studies abroad, the loans up to Rs. 20 Lacs will be classified by the Bankers as priority sector and above Rs. 20 Lacs it would be at higher rate of interest. The higher rate of interest concept varies from bank to bank. Education loans above Rs.7.5 Lacs will be provided only if tangible securities like mortgage of property is provided. Regards.
