Hi Denilson,
The best among private universities in Tamil Nadu is VIT as it offers good placements and exposure. Both the branches Chennai and Vellore are good.
Prefer VIT, Vellore because that is main campus and also considered the best.
After that in terms of placements SRM University main campus is good.
Sastra University also is good in terms of faculty and placements.
These are good as per rankings also.
Then, if you want to go for some good university but with average rankings and placements you can see the following:

The counselling will start only after the JEE Advanced examination.
The date for JEE Advanced will be at the end of May. So you have to wait till that.
May be the counselling for JEE will be from second week of June only.

Yes, still, you have chances of you give other colleges though private ones entrances. Also, state colleges still conduct their own entrance exam. If you miss JEE you won't get admission in NIT or IIIT or IIT. But you still have chances to get other private good colleges and also state government colleges. Don't lose hope.
