Its very nice to know your desire to learn something different than engineering. Normally, open universities do not have any restriction on admitting students for any course and hence the concept of management quota is irrelevant. Also as its a distance learning method, there is no college. The University will send you all material and you have to study at your convenient time.

There is no caste reservations in Sastra University and so you can get admission based on merit alone. Your score is not bad but it is not sure that which branch you could get. Try it at the counseling.

* Candidate must have cleared 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
* The candidate must be from the science stream with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
* The candidate must have scored a minimum aggregate score of least 60% (55% in some institutes) at 10+2 level.
* Clearing an entrance exam conducted by the Maritime Institute as approved by the DGCA is mandatory in order to get admission.
* There are a host of physical and medical requirements and tests that also need to be met if a candidate wishes to pursue the course.
