Don't get confused. Maths is required for getting admitted in NMIMS Mumbai. NPAT entrance test is required for getting into BBA B.Com Economics (H) and BBA LL.B. * I know this because even I was NOT able to give exam as I didn't have Maths in 12th. * So, have Maths either as additional subject (6th) or optional subject (5th). You can surely opt for this branch. Just make sure that you get interest in studying engineering. Because, as you want to do UPSC ultimately, you might ignore engineering studies. Engineering will certainly help you in one or the other way when you'll become an IAS officer.

Mass communication and design, both are very diverse courses. The short-term courses related to this field are specific to the sub-streams. For example, there will be a different course for fashion, interiors, jewellery design and so on. Similarly, for mass communication, short-term courses will be like journalism, advertising, PR, radio, etc. Please mention your specific interest so that I can guide you better.

Yes, there is B.Tech lateral entry for mechanical engineering students too. Here, you get direct admission to 2nd year of B.Tech if you are a Diploma holder in engineering.
