That said, do not take it as a bar to entry, but to elucidate the fact that a broad learning is always necessary to get into a challenging career such as game design. Now let's go into the nitty gritty on Game Design. To become a Game Designer, you must get a good knowledge of 3D software as well as preproduction. Usually in Games the environment is created in 3DSMax and Character animations in Maya, Only the models are made with less polygons and more textures. So choose a program that teaches you these software. It would not matter whether the programme is called game design programme or not. Rest, to become a level designer you must have a passion for game design. Also you must have passion for playing all kinds of games including card games, dice games, sports etc. The 3rd option is Game Design (it's different from Game Designer), where you design the game itself, i.e. what happens on each level, and how things go about as well as the base story of the game. It is a stage that you reach due to your vast knowledge and passion and even exceptional technical skills cannot help you reach. This is usually the story designer. May I ask, have you ever designed a game? Finally, to do game programming you would require knowledge of programming in which usually a BCA/ MCA would help. Typically game programmers usually would be knowing C, C+, Java, Android besides at least a Game Engine. In order to be a commercial pilot you must have completed your Class XII under the 10+2 system or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics.
Training in commercial flying can be taken with Flying clubs, the Rashtriya Udan Academy, Private Flying academies.
The training goes through 3 stages of licence.
The licences have to be procured in the following order:
1. Student Pilot Licence (SPL)
2. Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
3. Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
- After Class XI/XII (with PCM) students can apply for the SPL
- On passing Class XII(PCM) they may enroll for the next licence -PPL
- On getting the PPL training begins for CPL.
Details of the Licences:
Student pilot licence can be taken at flying clubs in every State . It is a theory exam.
Eligibility - Age of 16 years minimum and pass in Class X. A medical certificate of fitness, security clearance and a bank guarantee is required.
Selection - Candidates taking the SPL test have to appear in an oral examination on a fixed day every month. Candidates have to enroll a month before the examination. Selected candidates go through a medical test and the Pilot Aptitude Test.
Private pilot licence is a practical training. A total of 60 hours of flying is needed of which 20 hours minimum should be solo and 5 hours cross country.
There is a theory examination also.
Commercial pilot licence requires flying training for 190 hours to complete 250 hours of flying.

* Generally, candidates join lateral B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.
