once you do M.Phil you get enough exposure to pursue masters degree.
Also, after completing M.Phil you need not to appear Ph.D entrance exam and in teaching job you will get more preference over a student with masters degree only
It is prerequisite in many Indian universities and foreign universities to pursue Ph.D

M.Phil. is a special research degree and generally pursued by those people who want to opt for an academic career as a researchers or lecturers in the University or colleges. After finishing M.Phil, students normally enroll for a PhD program. So an M.Phil course is a pre -doctorate degree course which is mainly based on research.

Yes, you can go for B.Com, but as you have almost 6 years of gap in your education I am really skeptical that you would be able to get admission in a full time college. So, I would suggest you to go for a Correspondence Program, but take care that you should do it through a University which is UGC recognized like IGNOU.
I would also suggest you to check with few of colleges of Delhi University, that whether you can do your graduation through regular or not, if you are really keen on doing it through regular.
