Yes, Indian students can take GMAT exam and apply for admission through GMAT score for PGDM program, these is no restriction in that regard. The cut off for GMAT score is 650 but please note getting an admission interview call is a function of GMAT score as well as academic, extra curricular and profile details (work experience if any)

In my opinion PGDM as it gives better scope for further studies as well keeping job aside. PGPM is not recognised in every educational institute so you may loose some of the oppourtunies if applying for may PhD. for campus placement point of view it depends on the institute and both are equally accepted in most of the coporate firms. So totally your call which one to go for.

So if u have any remarkable achievements which can make u stand apart from others , then you can give a try. Last time the lowest CAT percentile student admitted was at 75 .
