1) Only universities can offer Degree Programmes: In India only those institutes which are affiliated to a university can offer a degree. Institutes which are not affiliated to university are autonomous and can offer PG Diploma. However, some of these programmes are approved by regulatory bodies.
2) Difference in focus of course curriculum: While there are huge similarities in the curriculum of both Masters and PG Diploma, there are finer points of differences too. While Masters focuses more on theoretical aspects and is more exam-oriented, PG Diploma has a focus on building soft skills and is industry-oriented. It prepares you for the job market.
3) Curriculum of PG Diploma course is flexible: Since an autonomous institute does not have to follow university standards, it is free to change its curriculum according to industry standards and change in business environment. Also a PG Diploma gives you an industry exposure.
So you take up any as both would benefit you in their own ways. As far as syllabus is concerned, the course content varies from one college to another.

Well placements is a step by step process that undertakes various parameters before final recruitment of any candidate. Apart from academics, other factors like graduation, masters, extra-curricular activities, confidence, knowledge, leadership skills, communication technique, team spirit, interpersonal skills are also important.
So I would suggest you to reappear for the blocked exam and submit your revised mark sheet with the company. Also work on the above said traits in order to strive successfully in the corporate world both at personal and professional front.

Hi Mahendra, for the bank PO exams the eligibility criteria is graduation from recognized university and your age should be between 21-30 years. A person can appear only thrice for a bank PO exam. Notification appears in all leading national newspapers and employment news.
The examination is conducted in two stages. The first stage is a written examination having objective test and the second is descriptive test. The candidates who have been successful in written examination are called for an interview.
To prepare for the Bank Probationary Officers entrance exam, there are a number of books and correspondence courses available. The objective type portion will have papers in reasoning, quantitive aptitude, general awareness and English. The descriptive type paper will have comprehension, analysis of situation and language ability. For general awareness, if you read read the daily newspaper and watch news, that should do. You could also use magazines such as CSR, Competition Master, Banking service Chronicle, etc.

Both the institutes are equally good in terms of Salary package, infrastructure etc. but as far as placements are concerned it would not completely be dependent on the institute but would largely depend on your own caliber, capacity to perform on the programme and how you use the knowledge earned at the time of placement interviews.
Talking about other factors such as Study material, Faculty, Market recognition, etc I would suggest that you should visit both the institutes once to get the first hand information through the current batch students and faculty members. This would help in taking a more informed decision.
