Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or an equivalent examination, with 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/ Computer Science/Biology put together and 50% marks in Mathematics separately, are eligible for admission. Candidates having Three year Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or equivalent, having 50% marks in the final Diploma examination, are also eligible for admission. However, these Diploma holders are not eligible for admission to the Engineering courses offered by Kerala Agricultural University.

Admission Procedure:
Students can gain admission in Kerala engineering Colleges through any of the following routes:
1.CEE or Kerala Common Entrance Test conducted by the Government of Kerala: The candidates can target 49,200 seats across 141 different engineering institutes in the State through this test.
2.AIEEE: One needs to appear for AIEEE to gain admission in the prestigious National Institute of Technology, Calicut. A total of 907 undergraduate engineering seats are available here.
3.ISAT or the IIST Admission Test is conducted for admission to B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering (60 seats); B.Tech in Avionics (60 seats) and B.Tech in Physical Sciences (36 seats)
4. IIT-JEE for admission to Indian Institute of Science Education and Research's (IISER) 5-year integrated M.S programme. However one may also get admission directly under the KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana and IISER science aptitude test. Eligibility for taking the IISER test consists of scoring above the cut-off marks in 10th and 12th for State/Central Board Examinations for INSPIRE fellowship as prescribed by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Indi
