Why most students follow the conventional path of studying in India or in the west? Why Indian students are obsessed with the west? Is it the 200 years of colonial mindset? Most of them struggle to survive in the west and work for peanuts in India.
So called 'average', 'above average' and below 'average' students (although it is judged by marks to which I personally don't subscribe to) must look at countries like Bahrain and UAE for their destination for bachelor and masters degrees because the GCC region still the best for job opportunities, offering excellent tax free salaries, and most safe and secured high standard of living that one cannot expect in the west unless they are immensely gifted and possessing extra-ordinarily talented.

You cannot have better career so easily unless you are highly influential and lucky.

There is very slight difference, MBA is a degree awarded by University , whereas the PGDM is the degree awarded by an autonomous body.
In india , generally the university cirriculum are controlled by the government and soes not allow it to be revised regularly to keep up with needs of the industry.So students getting MBA from various university loses opportunity without their fault.
Having said that , All university cannot be considered on the same scale, we have FMS affiliated to DU and its one of the best.
College providing PGDM always have the privilege to make their course module according to the upcoming technology and economy. so PGDM has an edge over MBA
But there are thousands of College providing MBA/PGDM.
And mere degree of MBA/PGDM don't guarantee a good career.
so Before selecting a PGDM
4 criteria should be considered;
1. Course Content: whether the course is alinged with the economy and technology or not
2. Method of teaching: Prefer a college which provide case method teaching
3. Faculty profile: when i say faculty profile , the faculty must have industry exposure, because PGDM is a practically oriented programme
4. Industry Interaction: PGDM/MBA is all about business and revenue, so industry interaction is necessary,
A piece of advice: before selecting a college, please meet the alumni of the college, not the recent pass out, but 2 or 3 years older

Hi Madhavi, firstly admissions for PGDM are conducted based on a number of parameters including CET/CMAT scores, academics of 10th,12th n graduation, your work experience if any and your performance in the Micro presentation and personal interview. So considering your score I suggest perform really well in the Micro presentation and Personal Interview round. Be well prepared for these two rounds since they carry a lot of weightage. To prepare for these make sure you know a lot of current happenings, major developments in the country and have some information regarding business management. Any of this could come as your Micro presentation topic or could be asked by the panel members in the Interview. And also be well prepared to answer questions about yourself since it is a sure shot question in the interviews. So of you perform really well in these two rounds you have a good chance of getting admitted to the PGDM program.

There are scopes provided you are in the right college, in right environment in a right country or like most one has to work 9 am to 12 am in 'IT/ ITES' companies for peanuts.
