BTech CSE is the most accepted degree for employment by Indian IT industry because of excellent system level programming skills of CSE graduates and also generally these students are part of top layer in Engineering entrance examination. CSE graduates by virtue of their education can easily adapt to application programming in industry. If there is choice, I will recommend CSE over IT.
