Yes, you will get admission in CSE but in second category because CSE score rank closes in 6000-7000 rank.Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well. With each category admission, fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank, but there are 2nd category as well, if you want CSE, but you have to pay more for that. Look, dropping second time is a big risk. It requires a lot of dedication and hard work. You have to stay motivated throughout the year of your preparation time. You already faced many challenges during your first year. If your have enough confidence that you can do this, then you should go for it. You have to analyse your last year and realize your mistakes which you have made and also make sure you will never repeat it again. Otherwise try in counseling and try to get good college on the basis of your current JEE rank and marks. Basic eligibility that is asked for this course is B.Sc. (Hons.)/B.Sc. degree with minimum 50% marks. Tuition fees for the course ranges from 3,000 INR to 10,000 INR in government institutions and 20,000 INR to 50,000 INR in private.
Every university conduct their own entrance exam for M.Sc. course. There is no joint examination for this programme. A candidate has to appear for the Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET)conducted by different universities which is generally conducted in the month of May/June and notification for the same comes in the month of February every year in institutes like-
Universities like Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla offers direct admission on merit basis only. While Delhi University and Presidency College takes admission through both merit basis and PET. About 60% of seats are reserved for direct admissions for the students of respective university only and rest of the 40% admissions are taken through PET.
