Job Prospects
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is the major recruiter for archaeologists in the country both at the centre and at the state levels as well. Students who are eligible can apply for suitable positions with ASI after qualifying the examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) or by State Public Service Commission's (SPSC).
After acquiring the required degree, one can apply for lectureship in various universities/Institutes across the country. For this, they have to appear for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or the National Eligibility Test (NET) these examinations will be conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
After qualifying in the JRF examination a candidate has the option to pursue a doctorate degree in capacity of a paid research fellowship. For taking up a lectureship position in a particular state, candidates must have to clear the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) of that particular state.
Jobs are offered in both government and private sector museums for the safe upkeep and management of museum artifacts, so the career of an archaeologist is secure. With official designation and well experience a archaeologists can enjoy all the benefits of a normal government employee.
Pay Package:
After getting into Archaeological Survey of India, the basic pay scale of an assistant archaeologist range between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month. Archaeologists with a doctorate degree usually get suitable positions in the job hierarchy. The monthly salary of the director general of ASI is in somewhere around Rs. 30,000 per month.

If you mean full time MBA or PGDM program then please remember in order to pursue this program you need to be graduate in any field with atleast 50% marks in graduation, plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc.
The selection process in B-schools generally consists of :
