To qualify for appearing in exam, students need to have at least 75 per cent marks or be in top 20 percentile in Class XII examination. SC, ST students should have 65 per cent marks.

Civil engineering is different. I don't know that it is any better. If you like to design things, be outside some, enjoy construction projects, then you would probably like civil engineering better. If you really enjoy electrical engineering then computer science engineering would likely suit you better. It is so hard to know what a person will enjoy doing and there are so many variations of what a person might end up doing with either of those majors I would recommend opting for the major with the classes you do best in.
