Yes, there is a UVCE boys hostel near to the college and girls hostel is also available, but it is a bit far from the college location. Boys and girls hostels are available at Visvesvaraya College of Engineering.
The girl's hostel is at Jnana Bharathi, while the boy's hostel is on the city campus.

UVCE was the only engineering college under Bangalore University, but at present UVCE has been seperated from BU and it is now an autonomous college.

IIT Goa and IIT Tirupati are one of the best colleges present in India for B.Tech and M.Tech courses. The placements offered by both the colleges are great. You should start solving UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) question papers after completing the syllabus of the exam. Solving UPTET question papers before clearing the basic concepts may not be good idea.
