Don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want to do after studying B.Tech. You may take the following considerations. If you like a computer, want to build crazy applications or something related to software go with Computer Science and Engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. After studying electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only a few get a chance in electronics companies. So, I would suggest better to study Computer Science and Engineering. If you want to sail through vast sea go with marine engineering. If you have not decided what you want to do after B.Tech, sit for one or two days and decided what you want to do. If still confused, select any of the engineering branches mentioned in point # 1, 2 and 3 (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics).

Hi, there could be several ifs and buts but the choice is personal and you have to make note of many factors such as budget, career plans etc. It's a good option to go after 12th since options are many and you will be exposed to wider programs and trends however an applicant may be too young and immature and any wrong decision may cost you dearly. Also getting a job after an UG degree abroad is difficult and there is no guarantee of good returns after the huge investment. After Bachelor's a student exactly knows the programs he/she is looking for and have a better stand on his career plans, better understanding of market trends, economies of different countries etc. Most importantly work permit options are better for PG level students are favourable. Admission requirements of universities, your profile etc must also be taken into consideration. You need to weigh in all options before making a decision.
