Who said like that ? Surely UK degree is the best in the world and it is well recognized all over the world. In India also all will recognize this degree dont' worry. someone without any knowledge had told you like this. go ahead finish your degree and then see the value of it.
for your information your four year degree in India is equal to your three degree in UK. you can imagine the value for it. there are many specialization in UK engineering degree which is not there in India.
The most brilliant students are the IAS and IPS officers in India. After five years of experience before posted as Collector or Managing Director of a public limited company these are sent to UK to do their one year MBA. for this Govt of India is paying their tuition fees and giving them one year paid holiday. do you
think Indian Govt. will do this if the education in UK is not good or recognized.
I am sending student to uk for studies for the past 10 years. I would have snet more than 500 students. Manu are even working in higher places and doing PhD in other countries also. no one had reported like this. Don'y worry you go ahead and do the degree.

2. If you wish to be a teacher in school, then go for B.ED and crack Teacher Eligibility Test. Eligibility conditions are:
(a) Bachelor's Degree with 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 pattern, or with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern
(b) Having studied at least two subjects at the bachelor's degree level, to be later taken as school teaching subjects
##Else if you aim at being a lecturer, then I would advice you to go for a masters degree in a relevant discipline and clear U.G.C NET conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.
Qualifying Examination:
The candidates those who have completed their post graduation in related subjects can appear for the exam. Those who have acquired post graduation from any recognized university are eligible for applying UGC-NET exam. The candidate must have a minimum of 55%.
