This totally depends on you that whether you want a gap or not. If you think you cannot prepare both graduation and CAT together you should definitely opt for a gap because it will hamper both graduation and CAT so make a wise decision and keep in mind your strengths and weaknesses before coming to a conclusion. And if you are capable of handling them together don't waste a year.

It will be better if you prepare for Master's degree course or for MBA course if you don't want to study then you should start gaining work experience, the more experience you have in the industry, better jobs you can get and with the higher degree and more experience you can even get high ranked jobs in the industry easily.

Huge number of students are placed in TCS. The total number of students placed were around 260+ out of around 320 in previosu batches where TCS stood at 103.
30+ companies in campus including Samsung, Sapient, Headstrong, Tech M, Globallogic, Infogain, DCM Shriram, BEL, Idea, Tata Indicom etc.
Highest was around 14 lpa(HLL Asia). Majority of the chunk was in range of 3-5 lpa.
Branch-wise:
CSE, ECE and Mechanical do have ample number of opportunities
Electrical also manages good number and problem remains for newer branches .

A career in Stockmarkets-I presume you want to work in Stockexchanges or Brokers. You have different options-1. You can work for the regulator-SEBI (Securities & Exchange Board of India). It regulates all Stock market activity, Mutual Funds & now Commodities market too.2. You can make a career in BSE or NSE which are the two premier stock exchanges of the country. You can look at MCX also which is the most sought after exchange for Commodities trading in India.3. You can look at Sales/Operations/Research in leading brokerage houses.4. B.Ed and then become a school teacher.
~Take up some design course and then plan your career as a designer or commercial artist.
Event Management is another option.
~If you are interested in traditional arts then you have a choice of performing arts like dance and music or even join film line.
~If you don't want to stay in the Arts field then can plan for MBA and join any corporate organisation.
~There is also a choice of a degree in Travel and Tourism wherein you get a chance to roam around the world as a tour guide or manager.
~I have also seen students taking up some foreign languages and then planning their career as a linguist

The Services teams are there for most of the sports that you might be knowing. The Services football team is actually pretty good too. Polo is said to be the "Indian Army's gift to the world". The Defence officers are actively involved in sports. Many of them represent India in various games. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was a Major when he grabbed the attention of the nation by winning that Silver medal in double trap shooting at the Olympics. So yes, if you want to play and you play well, you are given all the opportunities to represent Services and later, the country, at all the levels.
