For getting into a permanent post of Scientist/Engineer in ISRO, the way is engineering graduation/postgraduation/Ph.D is either campus recruitment or direct entry through written test and interview. Also Students from IIST are directly absorbed in ISRO. But if you want to do research which is relevant for ISRO, you may do it from your institute through sponsored research (RESPOND) from ISRO.
