The minimum eligibility for non-commerce graduates with subjects other than Mathematics with an aggregate of 55% marks and non-commerce graduates with Maths with an aggregate of 60% marks are exempted from the Competency Professional Test and are permitted to register for Professional Competency Course. CA. (Chartered Accountant) is a professional who has the highest level of knowledge in accounting, auditing and taxation. Any one going for this career must be ready for extreme hard work and hours of study. It is not about the degree you hold but is all about the knowledge that is required for CA. I would never suggest anyone to take up this course unless he/she knows what exactly it demands, though there is no such hard core rule regarding academic background. Candidate needs to appear for a Common Preparation Test (CPT) and if qualifies, can pursue the course. Well, the one from a commerce background has obviously greater chance of success than the one from other stream.

Hello Subata,Cracking any common entrance exam including Assam CEE is neither simple. Nor very difficult. It's all the question of how much you are prepared for this exam. Please keep it in mind that if you have studied well for this exam based on the syllabus then you will find it very simple to answer majority or all of the questions. On the other hand if you have not studied much and relying only on say solving of past question papers then perhaps you will find exam tough. To tell you frankly there is no easy way of passing any exam in your life. Hard work must proceed any exam that you are going to appear for in future.
