Marine engineering is a division of engineering that deals with the nautical architecture and science. Marine engineering basically is meant for research conducted in oceans and coastal or inland waters connected to the sea.
Admission to most of the institutes is done via entrance exams. The basic eligibility for pursuing a Bachelors is 10+2 examination with science subject such as Physics, maths and chemistry. For IITs, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration for this course is 4 years.

If you are specifically looking courses in Maths, then you can opt for BSc Maths or Maths Hons.
However, if you are really good with numbers and planning to widen your reach, you can opt for Economics, Statistics, Finance, CA, CFA, Computer Science, etc.
