Aanchal, seems like the right time for a look in into design. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this http://bit.ly/SXc9GD. Again like science it pays to be at the cutting edge. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design & Animation

Neelima if you are planning to seek a placement, then look for some other course as this course is mainly designed to shape up the entrepreneur, though a centralised placement process has began where students from se course can also be part of it.As far profile is concerned different firms absorb students for different roles like Csr etc.

Hi,
Usually only 10+2 pass students are qualified to take admission into the degree courses. As a mandate of open universities, BPP course gives opportunity to those who have not passed 10+2 and have attained 19 years of age on 1st April of the year of admission but are desirous of undergoing higher studies.
It makes you eligible for bachelor degree programs and not for software or any other job.
Hope this helps.

Why most students follow the conventional path of studying in India or in the west? Why Indian students are obsessed with the west? Is it the 200 years of colonial mindset? Most of them struggle to survive in the west and work for peanuts in India. So called 'average' and below 'average' students (although it is judged by marks to which I personally don't subscribe to) must look at countries like Bahrain and UAE for their destination for bachelor and masters degrees because the GCC region still the best for job opportunities, offering excellent tax free salaries, and most safe and secured high standard of living that one cannot expect
