After graduation you can go for Msc in chemistry, this will help you to go for GATE exam or CSIR entrance test. If you can get a good score in GATE or qualify for Junior Research fellow in CSIR then I am sure you will a xhance to carryout research as a phd student in any one of the IITs or any good research lab. Otherthan this after your postgraduate you can apply for some scientist B post in some of inst like BARC or DRDO. Also after graduation you can apply for some jobs in chemical companies, ofcourse in India the last option is not so widely

One cannot find much difference between a Bachelors of Science degree and a Bachelors of Science (Hons) degree. The Bsc and the BSc (Hons) takes almost the same time to complete.
A Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree is considered to be-
superior to the Bachelor of Science degree
academically, more standard than the ordinary Bsc degree.
So you may proceed with B.SC Honors.
