Hello, what will you do after having diploma?
Why do you want that your last two years will be a loss.
Don't waste. Do distance education. Go for B.Sc.IT or BCA in distance. don't go for PTU degree. Go for KU. Only NIIT is providing KU degree. So do computer. Grab a degree from KU and hold the name tag of NIIT. Believe me it will be great. Visit to your nearest center. Don't waste the year. Money was invested n effort was invested. Do this. And if you want a regular degree then take admission in any subject in college in regular. N join GNIIT from NIIT. The only difference between GNIIT and B.ScIT is that in GNIIT you will have 4 sems to study and last two sems will be internship(payed). and in B.Sc.IT you will have all the 6sems to study. Whichever you feel great. So you will have a degree as well as you will be studying on computer too. Or you also can merge B.ScIT+GNIIT. where you have 7sems to study and 2 sems for payed internship. You don't panic she has still so many opportunities. First you ask her what she want to do. IT is your choice ask about her choice. If both of you have same choice, then she can go for B.Sc and if you don't find it appropriate then she can go for BCA+MCA. After completing BCA+MCA she'll be equivalent to a software engineer.
BCA is a computer application course . it has a good demand in our country in software as well as in IT FIRMS.
AFTER BCA you can apply in software companies directly you can also go for higher studies in your own field like MCA.
AFTER the master degree you will get more salary and status as compared to BCA.
to take admission you have to pass 12th with MATHS.
either you can join directly in many instiutes or also you may go through entrance exams.
