The Eligibility to sit for NET is to have 55% aggregate marks in your Masters from a recognized University, if you meet this criterion you are eligible to sit for NET. As far as the subject is concerned, you have to take up Management as the subject which will cover all the fields and specializations. I'd suggest you to visit the college or university's website and check for the registration number or you can directly ask the college for registration proofs or simply to check UGC's website for the white and black listed colleges and universities.
And similarly checking recognition from other institutions and authorities you can check the concerned website!
And i'd also like to suggest you to check the recognition for all courses or particularly one that you're going to pursue, because sometimes only one or two courses are recognized and rest are offered in shadow of the others! Be sure for it.
