Some of the leading MBA programs completed in a year are offered at ISB, IIMA PGPX, IIMB EPGP, IIMC PGPEX, and XLRI GMP, SOIL India. Yet, not all of the applicants are able to secure admission, due to extremely competitive processes or because of other personal constraints. However, there are several alternatives that enable such candidates to pursue a post graduate course. These include various methods such distance learning, online MBA, and 1 year post graduate course. A number of reputed Indian B-Schools offer 1 year part-time post graduate courses. Although, the course content is similar to that of a full-time programme, it may not offer all the benefits.

The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing M.Sc Psychology is having a graduation degree in any stream. However, many of the reputed universities demand graduation degree with Honors in Psychology or Psychology as one of the subjects studied in graduation from any of the recognized college/university. Some even ask for a minimum of 45-50% marks in graduation as qualifying criteria to secure admission in this course and some also conduct an entrance examination. Other Options that can help you in knowing- how to become psychologist in India:
-You can enroll into one year Diploma course in psychology under guidance and counseling. -Opt for certification courses (6 months- 1 year) after you have completed your graduation, conducted by qualified psychologists and afterwards, you can become a member of Association of Professional Psychologists. Therefore, minimum qualification required in becoming a psychologist or counselor is to get degree in any stream with an added Diploma course in psychology or get membership in Association of Professional Psychologists. *Psychology, as a career is in great demand and provides with a multiple scope in this field. There are various branches in psychology like clinical, counseling, social, educational, industrial, research, developmental psychology. Many psychologists work independently and also team up with other professionals for example, with other scientists, physicians, lawyers, school personnel, computer experts, engineers, policymakers and managers to contribute to every area of society. Good question, but the choice of higher studies is purely based on your decision. Higher studies are purely based on also what kind of a job or role or position you are looking out for. As far as an MBA is concerned, if you look ATIT the main role and responsibility is managing the work as well as delegation. But for doing justice to this role, one needs to know the ground rule or the basics of the job. As far as an M.Sc is concerned, mainly it is a research oriented profile. Now the choice is yours. You would have to self-introspect. Whether you are a Research kind of a person or would you prefer to manage the work as well as delegate work.
But if I am to advice you, I would suggest that if you are able to get an answer by your self-introspection then follow it accordingly. But if you are unable to get an answer, it would be good if you could get into a job, realize your potentials and at the same time study the market, their needs and the job opportunities created and then opt for higher studies. As far as managerial role or MBA is concerned, even after introspection, if you feel you fit in with this kind of role, I would recommend, you to wait, fend a job, and take in experiences. Only then will an MBA degree would be helpful. Also please note that with certain M.Sc specialisation an MBA degree would not be helpful. So make a confirmed choice.
