No, the tuition is the same for every student. Everyone pays INR 16,00,000 per year for Illinois Tech Mumbai BSc course. This applies to all the different majors offered. Illinois Tech Mumbai believes in being fair and transparent with costs. The fee is the same for both Indian and international students.

Yes, the curriculum is a direct mirror of the Chicago campus and is highly STEM-focused. While a standard Indian B.Sc. is often three years, the Illinois Tech Mumbai programme is a four-year degree. It emphasizes practical technology skills like Artificial Intelligence and Business IT from day one. Many Indian BSc programs are more theoretical and academic in nature. This four-year structure also makes it much easier if you plan to move abroad for a Master's degree later.

Traditional universities like IIT Bombay or BITS Pilani offer huge residential campuses with thousands of students. Illinois Tech Mumbai is a more niche, urban center focused on professional and technical growth. It has a smaller intake of only 120 students for the BSc program. This means you get much more personal time with faculty compared to a crowded state university. It feels more like a professional training hub than a typical sprawling college campus with hundreds of clubs and sports.

The main difference is the heavy focus on technology and innovation. Most MBAs focus only on general management, but Illinois Tech Mumbai teaches you how to lead in a tech-driven world. You get a curriculum that is designed by a global university known for engineering and science. This gives you a more technical edge. If you want to work in the tech sector or with innovative startups, this specialised focus is a huge advantage.

With a JEE Main 2026 percentile of 79.4 (rank ≈ 2,09,000), here's a realistic picture of your admission chances for CSE:

 NITs/IIITs/GFTIs (JoSAA)

  • Top NITs (Surathkal, Trichy, Warangal, Allahabad, Jaipur, Calicut):
    • CSE/ECE cutoffs close around 95–98 percentile.
    • At 79.4 percentile, ❌ not possible.
  • Newer NITs (Arunachal, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Srinagar, Agartala):
    • Even Civil/Mechanical close around 85–90 percentile.
    • At 79.4 percentile, ❌ not possible.

👉 Conclusion: No NIT/IIIT/GFTI seat for CSE at this percentile.
