Residential facilities at LPU. What about safety measures and security facilities for girls.

LPU has the largest residential capacity in the world. On inquiring for my niece, LPU has the following facilities: 1. Separate residential facility for boys and girls within the campus. 2. Rooms with attached washroom, B.Ed (without mattress), table, chair and almirahs except in certain dormitory rooms. 3. Air cooler / Air Conditioner facility in each room (as opted). 4. Arrangement for power supply through dedicated 24 hours hotlines. 5. Geyser in each room to provide hot water in winters (scheduled timings) for two hours per room every day or as decided by the University. 6. In campus Hospital with ambulance to provide medical assistance to students. 7. Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for scheduled timing for academic purposes only and subject to conditions. 8. Power backup for light load only (not for AC/ Geyser/ Air cooler). 9. Mess facility with vegetarian meals only. 10. Parking two wheeler/car facility at designated places only. 11. Gymnasium (optional on payment basis). 12. Students in residential facility are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, Mobile Charger, Shaving Set, Trimmer, Hair Straightener and Hair Dryer. Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the respective students. This year, I was bit worried about the safety measures because of COVID-19, then I came to know that, LPU has also taken some of the initiatives which are as follows: 1. Wearing of mask by all 2. Daily sanitation 3. Strict rules of movement 4. All the hostel rooms and buildings are sanitized and unnecessary movement of anyone is prohibited 5. No big gathering 6. Thermal scanners Over an above nearly 4000+ cameras are installed in University for the safety and security of the student. Hope this pandemic ends soon.

Hi Megha, I can feel the excitement in people who are looking forward to starting their hostel life in Lovely Professional University. Many of you might be very curious about the look and interior of the hostel. I stayed in LPU Hostel during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences. The first thing that almost parents are concerned about is the safety. And LPU is one campus that takes security of all their students very seriously. There are automated biometric machines that keep a record of each entry and exit in the hostel. Next comes food, the mess here is super hygienic and provides us with quality food four times a day. CCTVs are positioned at each and every prominent corner of the campus. You can find security guards everywhere on the campus for your guidance and security. Other than that, cleanliness is always maintained to ensure healthy environment. You will get each and every facility inside the campus, There are various kinds of facilities available inside the campus such as cafe, Saloon, General stores, Canteen, hospital, gym, creche etc. For any kind of inconvenience regarding residential facility one can log their request in RMS which will be resolved within few days. Apart from this facilities Lovely Professional University is Providing other facility also -24 Hrs. Security Services,24 Hrs. CCTV Surveillance,24 Hrs. Electricity Backup,24 Hrs. Water Supply,24 Hrs. Medical Service (Medicines and tests on Payment),24 Hrs. Staff Assistance, Study Room, Mess Services (On Payment), Laundry Services (On Payment), Departmental Store (On Payment), Cafeteria (On Payment). Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exists here. There is a complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination. Girls are not allowed to go outside without leave. If they want to go outside for any purpose like movie, shopping, etc. Then they need to apply for day outing. Permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. Overall, my experience at the LPU has been delightful. Thank you!

Hello, Rush my words if you can, Girls at LPU are completely safe. Girls feel unsafe in a big metro city, but I assure you LPU is the safest place. If you are inside the campus, you are safe even if it is day or night. It provides 100% safety within the campus. LPU is very much concerned about each and every student on the campus. CCTVs are positioned at each and every prominent corner of the campus. You can find security guards everywhere on the campus for your guidance and security. The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with bio-metric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. There is a strict check on visitors who are entering the girls hostel. Any unknown or random is not at all allowed. Major highlights of hostels at LPU are : 1) The university ensures Zero tolerance to Ragging, Alcohol, Smoking, Drugs, and Disciplinary Misconduct. These are strictly prohibited in the university campus. 2) Automated Turnstile Gates with biometric machines regulate entry to hostels. Nearly 4000 CCTV cameras and experienced security staff deployed at all strategic locations throughout the campus ensure 24X7X365 security. Data is saved to track the movement of students/ visitors. 3) The online leave system informs parents through SMS about leave status/ movement of their ward. The warden/ staff may intimate the parent in case a student repeatedly comes late into the hostel or indulges in some undesirable activity. 4) Students will get parental care in the hostel premises. 5) Girls are not allowed to go out of the hostels after a specific time. 6) 24X7 medical facility. 7) Every facility is provided in the hostel itself so that students don't need to go out. You can find security guards everywhere on the campus for your guidance and security. 24x7 Library Access: LPU offers a huge Library System with 11 branches. There are more than 43 Lacs books and e-books on all subject fields. Library system subscribes number of journals, magazines and newspapers. Safe & Secure: Manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitor. Access of Indoor Sports Stadium: With facilities like swimming pool, warm up pool, shooting range, squash court, badminton court, a volleyball court, basketball court etc. At 50% subsidized fee. LPU provides safe and secure residential facilities to all students whether a boy or girl and provide following facilities: 1. Separate residential Facility for the students with different seater. 2. Rooms are with B.Ed study table, chair, almirahs, desert cooler and geyser. 3. AC rooms are also available in the above category. 4. Differential food facility 5. Laundry facility 6. Gym facility to remain fit 7. Safety and security to be the most prior 8. Over and above the medical facility being provided inside the beautiful campus. 9. Mess and canteen facility in every hostel is there. 10.24*7 electricity supply and Wi-Fi. 11. There are general facilities such as :dedicated hotline and power backup for 24 hrs power supply at university campus. 12.60+ATMs of 5 nationalized banks and Post Office facilities for money transfer, speed post, etc. 13. Study room, TV room, Saloon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental store for daily needs, Cafeteria, vending Machine (soft drinks), Lifts and Parking facility. 14. University-Mall, an eight- storied complex, houses departmental stores, various shops, banks, food-courts. These help students to meet their daily needs on the campus itself. 15. Hi, LPU university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. It is manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The security team includes experienced ex-military men and women. A dedicated & expert department of security officials and personnel are on duty 24 x 7 to ensure that no drug ever enters the campus. A majority of security personnel and gunmen are experienced ex-servicemen, fully equipped and trained. Lady security staff are specially recruited for girls hostel security. LPU has more CCTVs than even the New Delhi International Airport. The security department provides the necessary electronic security support system with more than 4000 CCTV cameras for the safety of the students and staff. The University has its very own fire station department, fully equipped with a fire truck and trained firemen. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored.

I can answer you well as my cousin is studying at LPU She told me LPUs residential Facilities are indeed exceptionally well organized and maintained. The hostel administration here is very cooperative and caring. When it comes to Homelike Healthy stay LPUs residential Facilities are Number 1. Facilities at hostels: 1. Separate residential facility for boys and girls within the campus 2. Rooms with attached washroom, B.Ed (without mattress), table, chair and almirahs except in certain dormitory rooms. 3. Air cooler / Air Conditioner (with attached washroom) facility in each room (as opted) 4. Arrangement for power supply through dedicated 24 hours hotlines 5. Geyser in each room to provide hot water in winters (scheduled timings) for two hours per room every day or as decided by the University. 6. In-campus Hospital with ambulance to provide medical assistance to students 7. Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for scheduled timing for academic purposes only and subject to conditions. 8. Gymnasium (optional on payment basis) Now coming on safety measures: My sister told me that girls need to be within hostels at specific timings and regular attendance taken by wardens to check their presence and for their safety. For girls expert counsellors, wardens, lady guard are always available within hostels whenever they need their support, in case of any medical urgency ambulance immediately reach hostel residence. If girls want outing whether day or night they need to get their parents to talk to the wardens first then in written they need to take permission and then only allowed to go out of the campus. Proper rules and regulations are followed for the safety of girls and moreover for boys also security norms are followed for their safety too. To provide the students with a safe and congenial environment, the University ensures:Drug-free, alcohol-free, smoke-free and ragging free campus,24 hours patrolling across the campus, Deployment of CCTVs across the campus for round-the-clock surveillance.
