Residential facilities at LPU. What about safety measures and security facilities for girls.

LPU has the largest residential capacity in the world. In order to ensure proper safety and security of the children. The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. LPU has a set of rules regarding hostel life and its facilities. LPU provides convenience to your doorstep but expects proper adhering to their discipline structure and code of conduct. 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict actioned used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of such rules. LPU is very strict when it comes to Safety & Security, and specially when it is about Girl Students there is simply no stone left unturn:- 1. Woman security guards are only there to take care of the Girls hostel. 2. Each & every hostels are free from illegal substances like tobacco, alcohol etc. 3. Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs. Of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. 4. Hostellers (Girls) are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. 5. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards and CCTVs so no loop holes where they can sneak from. 6. Girls have to enter their specific hostels in specified time duration 7 pm, and they cannot come out the hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till night. 7. NO OUTSIDERS is allowed in the university without a GATE pass. Meaning even if parents of students come for visit, they have the access to university through GATE pass only. 8. Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. 9. No boys are allowed to enter the girls hostel at any point of time. If girls enter after the time they are asked to list their name in the late entry register, which is further asked by the wardens during attendance, which is taken regularly.

As LPU alumni, I stayed in LPU hostel during my course period and it is one of the best experience, the campus is huge and beautiful, everything is available inside the campus. LPU residential facilities are best and the security is very tight, There are automated biometric machines that keep a record of each entry and exit in the hostel. Next comes food, the mess here is super hygienic and provides us with quality food four times a day. CCTVs are positioned at each and every prominent corner of the campus. You can find security guards everywhere on the campus for your guidance and security. Other than that, cleanliness is always maintained to ensure healthy environment. You will get each and every facility inside the campus, There are various kinds of facilities available inside the campus such as cafe, Saloon, General stores, Canteen, hospital, gym, creche etc. For any kind of inconvenience regarding residential facility one can log their request in RMS which will be resolved within few days. Apart from this facilities Lovely Professional University is Providing other facility also -24 Hrs. Security Services,24 Hrs.

Dear Megha, Residential facilities are very good, secure, and safe at LPU for both girls and boys. I am writing a few rules/safety concerns which maybe particularly for girls or it may be for girls or boys both; Students can not use gas cylinders inside the rooms. Because it may harm In your absence at the room. Students cannot use giant electrical appliances. Because it may come in your absence at the room. Every student is expected to punch their attendance At main GATE of hostel at main GATE of hostel while entering or exiting the hostel. During the attendance by hostel warden In the evening every Hostler is expected to present in their own room. Thus, Students from another hostel Are not allowed To enter other hostel. Even the students staying in the same hostel were not supposed to share the rooms late nights. For those there is a specific timing to report back to their hostels in the evening. In the summers they are supposed to report at 7:30 maximum in the hostels. For girls, there is a specific timing to report back to their hostels in the evening. In the summers they are supposed to report at 7:30 PM maximum in the hostels. In the winters, girls are supposed to report at 6:30 PM maximum in hostel. They could not leave the hostel premises after the specific timing. If they need to do so they need to take leave permission and the moment to get the permission the parents will be intimated via mail and sms. For studying at library girls are permitted to go there in two slots 8 PM and 10 PM until 12 AM. In short, parents are very happy with this salient feature of hostels at Lpu because this is yours the security of their child. I hope this would help you. Thanks!

Dear, 24x7 Library Access LPU offers a huge Library System with 11 branches. There are more than 43 Lakh books and e-books on all subject fields. Library system subscribes number of journals, magazines and newspapers. Utilize Your Precious Time The residential faculty & staff provide after-hours guidance and support to the students, in case they need any academic or life advice. Students have opportunity to become independent! Students residing in the campus can earn while studying by taking up part time jobs in labs, library, sales, shopping mall etc. Safe & Secure Manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitored.

LPU hostels and LPU campus are safe for not even girls, but for boys as well. I recommend that you resist the suggestion of PG lodging outside the University as alumni of LPU. I did not get the chance to stay in hostel as I was day scholar but I can definitely tell about the safety measures that are taken by LPU for the students and specifically for hostellers. 1. Entire campus, ensuring CCTV cameras cover any nook. 2. Entry and Exit from hostels is through turnstile only. 3. Outsiders without a GATE pass are not allowed to access the university campus. 4. At any given period in time, girls do not go outside the campus, to go outside the university, parents' permission is taken to supply them with the GATE pass. 5. With high walls, barbed wires, security guards and CCTVs, the university is entirely guarded so that there are no loop holes into which they can escape. 6. In the unique time span of 7 pm, girls report at their particular hostels, and they cannot exit from hostels. # 7. Girls who wish to study at night in the Central Library are given 2 hours of time and are escorted by guards to the library and back to their respective hostel from the library. I hope now you understand how much.

I stayed in LPU during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences. Being a girl. Ill must say that LPU is one of the best university. For security purpose it is very reliable for the girls students. It also contributes the gratification to the parents as well because we are living far away from our homes. The major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. This University have stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises. This University have Centralised Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university. Girls are handled by the women security guards only. Illegal substances are strictly forbidden and regular checks are done to make sure such activities does not happen in the university. Girls who wants to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. Hostelers (Girls) are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards and CCTVs so no loop holes where they can sneak from. Girls have to enter their specific hostels in specified time duration 7 pm, and they cannot come out the hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till night. Other than this, in case of emotional breakdowns, there are happiness cells available in the university where anyone can go and discuss their problems Overall, my experience at the LPU has been delightful thus far.

LPU hostels are one of the best designed student accommodations. Since it follows all the norms and ensures the proper sanitation of the hostels everyday, it is one of the safest campuses in the country. The staff and students are sanitized regularly and strict rules and regulations have been laid down for the safety of students. More over there is a fully equipped in house hospital, god forbid if there is any urgency.

Dear Megha, LPU campus in itself a very safe and secure campus, more so in case of girls hostels. # Whole campus, means every nook is Covered with CCTV cameras. # Outsiders are not allowed to enter the University campus without GATE pass. In fact the staff who does not have RFIDs of their conveyance are not allowed to enter without the GATE pass. # Girls do not go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards and CCTVs so no loop holes where they can sneak from. # Girls do report at their specific hostels in the particular time duration 7 pm, and they cannot escape from hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till 9pm maximum. # Girls who wants to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. # Girls are handled by the women security guards only. Illegal substances are strictly forbidden and regular checks are done to make sure such activities does not happen in the university. # Any offensive act is not at all appreciated inside the campus and results in strict actions are taken against such act by the University. Thus, the gist is without any doubts LPU hostels and LPU campus is safe for not even Girls rather it is safe and secure for Boys also. Being a guardian to the children of our relatives studying here in LPU. I also advise you to avoid any suggestion of PG accommodations outside the University and be happy and enjoy safe stay inside the LPU campus hostel. Hope this helps DVD.
