Somehow, it matters for the sake of sitting in the placements, but that also is up to certain margin like you must don't have CGPA less than 7, only then you will be eligible although for academics. It is hardly a matter of concern.

CGPA only matters to sit in the placement and for most of the companies it is >7 CGPA. If you're eligible then you can give the placement exam and your package depends on your skills and achievements, not CGPA.

    Hello,
I would say that Marks doesn't decide your future, your talent and learning does. Being an LPU Alumni, I would say Placements depend upon your skills more rather than your scores. If we talk about Placements at LPU, CGPA doesn't matter but yes you need to maintain the minimum eligibility to sit for placements.
LPU doesn't interfere in terms of CGPA, It all depends upon the eligibility company asks for.
So, my only advice to you is focus on minimum eligibility and more on gaining skills.
LPU is a brand in itself. It has been ranked as one of the best universities by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its placemen

Well, companies while taking a look at the resume do check the percentage/CGPA to make a check on the academic background. Some companies visit with having a minimum condition on percentage. Based on the CGPA candidates can participate in the process of interview. But companies do see the communication skills, confidence, practical knowledge all these facts in the interview.
LPU puts their best efforts, the same thing is required by the students as well.
The curriculum incorporates specific courses under the notion of Professional Enhancement Programmes which helps students to pass through the Placement process. To enhance employ-ability

    Hi,
The score with which you finish your course is very important because on the basis of that the companies pick the students . This is true for all universities.
LPU would hone your skills in such a way that you will get a good CGPA of course with your dedication too.
LPU also provides the provision of improvement exams, in case you will that you were not able to perform well in a particular subjects properly, you can fill an improvement to get an increased CGPA.
The LPU expertise takes place each at intervals in and out of the classroom, nurturing creativity and innovation through challenging project work and practical learning, and pr

Shortlisting criteria for placement always differ from company to company. It purely depends upon the requisite Job profile or domain of that particular company. As per my knowledge, companies always keep shortlisting criteria nominal instead bare minimum. During my study at LPU, I got the opportunity to work closely as Student Placement Coordinator in LPU. As per my understanding before talking about final placement one should consider about steps of getting shortlisted in the campus placement drive where CGPA plays an important role. As per my experience, CGPA is kept nominal by most of the companies as shortlisting criteria. Final P

    Dear Ashish,
Yes. Let's take a quick note of the talent pool available to the companies vs the good quality of companies that actually visit various IITs, NITs & IIMs.
The most favorable profiles i.e. the companies that pay handsomely & also take care of the employee well-being are only a handful.
This is only 10-15% of all the profiles that visit campuses.
For IITs & NITs, it may be Microsoft, Facebook, Walmart, Google, Zomato, Amazon while for IIMs, they are McKinsey, BCG, Bain, HUL, P&G, Avendus, GS, JPMC & the likes.
Once, we cross the barrier of entering these premier institutes, the only thing that matters is how better are you as com

It is advised to students to maintain a good CGPA so it will not hamper your placements. Yes, like all other University CGPA plays a vital role in a student's life. A good CGPA is a way towards a good placement.Good CGPA gives you a Green sign to sit in placement drives in a lovely professional university. In LPU to get a decent placement you need to maintain a minimum of 7 CGPA. However if you are taking admission in MBA or BTech in CSE or IT like programmes then you should try to always score more than 7 cgpa (as much as you can).

Yes of course it does matter, as in major campus drives the CGPA acts as the first tool of cutoff in selection process. As major company who come for campus placement demand minimum 6.5 CGPA or on an average 65% in 10th, 12th and Grads. LPU being placement centric emphasis on students to upgrade their CGPA.
