Testing is major component of Software Development life cycle. Major role of a Software Testing executive is to test software developed by software engineers/ developer and reporting its defects so that bug free software systems can be developed. Major responsibilities of Testing Executives are as follows: (a)Understand software Development requirements to test software applications or systems. (b)Understand Test Plan (c)Create Test case and test data (d)Create test scripts in case of automation testing. Sometime testers may create test bed.
