    I don't know the exact numbers,  but I know this university is doing really well. It got ranked 120th in Asia in QS University Rankings 2025 and was named #1 private university in India. It even made it to the Top 231 universities globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025.

    In India, it secured 20th place in NIRF 2024 and even won the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (MAKA) trophy, awarded by President Droupadi Murmu. The university is growing fast because of good education, modern labs, and industry tie-ups.

    This kind of ranking is not carried out at all. However, Chandigarh University is graded A+ by NAAC and QS ranking. The university is consistently ranked as one of the best private universities in the country.

    Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are considered Tier 2 private universities in India, offering strong infrastructure, diverse programs, and growing placement records.

    As per the NIRF 2023 rankings:

    • Chandigarh University ranked 38th in Engineering and 32nd overall in India.
    • LPU ranked 50th in Engineering and 45th overall

    Many national and international organizations, including QS, NIRF, India Today, The Week, and Outlook, have ranked Chandigarh University.     Hi, I don't know about LPU, but yes, I can really tell you about Chandigarh University. The university is recognised as a Tier-1 Indian University, which has achieved all key national and international rankings.

    This private university tops the QS World University Rankings 2026 and has also won the MAKA trophy from President Droupadi Murmu, as well as ranked 20th in NIRF 2024

    I am not so aware about CU, Being an Alumni of LPU, I can just comment on LPU. By doing continuous efforts, LPU has been awarded several ranks and accreditation. LPU is a renowned university and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India.     Hello, There is no official ranking system from any government body in India which gives rankings based on the tier system in India. Chandigarh University has been ranked A+ by NAAC and is one of the fastest-growing university in Asia as well as one of the best university in North India. All the best.
