Want to stay in Punjab, looking for B.Tech CSE. Chitkara or LPU? Which university is good?

Hi there ! To be very honest, I don't have any idea about Chitkara university but being a part of LPU I must assure you that you will never regret in future for taking admission in LPU. Computer Science engineering is one of the best options to study in LPU. As my friend is studying CSE in LPU and based on her experience I would like to tell you about the facilities our university offered for CSE. LPU's Computer Science and Engineering Discipline encourage all -round development through industry adapted curriculum focusing on enhancing both technical skills and soft skills. Each year, student of CSE secure placements in top international brands like Microsoft, Google, INTEL, DELL EMC, COMPTIA, BOSCH AND PEGA with the highest package of 64 Lac. LPU has a fully equipped ultra modest Apple IMac lab, IOT lab, GOOGLE lab, BOT lab, CISCO lab, BIG DATA lab to provide exposure of the latest software and other things. The university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum would provide you a 'wild card' entry to industry. They give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Being an alumni of LPU I had lot of friends in CSE stream so I had an idea about the B.Tech CSE. They are placed in eminent institutions by completing their study from LPU as they found themselves quite fortunate! So I will be sharing certain details of LPU with you. Dear Sukhwinder, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department has been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. I am saying this because my younger brother has already completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University and currently he is working with amazon. His experience at LPU was amazing. He has discussed placements, exposure, academics etc. Honestly speaking, the quality of education provided at any of the universities in India has been standardized by the autonomous body called University Grants Commission (UGC). It is just a matter of public opinion that sometimes condemns a university while over-hyping another. Of course, few other factors, such as the university intake of good candidates and the output of taught, trained, and efficient candidates who get successful placements during the course of the past couple of years, matter, of course, but lets get to that a while later. In regards to the stream concentric study of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Lovely Professional University, it is undoubtedly a very good idea. The faculty at the CSE department of LPU is just as qualified as any of the popular universities and institutes of India that offer this discipline names I don't even need to say! It has produced perfectly efficient computer engineers in the past couple of years who have eventually landed salary packages as high as 42 LPA! Over the past couple of years, the department has seen a rise in the number of students taking admission in the stream. Due to this, the competition between students within the department has increased, and this has indirectly improved the overall performances of the batch as a whole. Without mentioning unrealistic figures, I am going to say that the students graduating from the CSE branch at LPU get placed more often than any other department from the same university. Not everyone gets placements in a core company, but they will get placed in companies functioning in various other fields. Don't be disheartened. It is a great opportunity for the engineering graduates, as a job in any field (better, if related to technology) will in the long run help you grab work experience, which in turn will lead you to have your dream career with your dream package Any engineering stream will make you qualified enough for good jobs.

Many top recruiters visit the LPU campus to employ graduates, such as Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, and several other firms. Recently, a girl got placed at a package of 42 LPA. Moreover, WorkIndia recruited at a package of 35LPA; Amazon recruited LPU students with 30 LPA. Both the universities are epitome of learning. As a scholar of LPU I have experienced it more closely so I can stance certain facts about LPU:- 1. The LPU infrastructure is quite vast and enough to support all types of practical like the ones needed for agriculture, physical education etc. The lush lawns are very inviting. 2. LPU has all the necessary accreditation. 3. The faculty is academically very helpful too. In general if I say both the university provide placements. I don't know about Chitkara but in details I can talk about LPU as I have studied in LPU itself and I had the pleasure of acquiring good placement. Both LPU and Chitkara are good Universities in terms of B.Tech CSE programme with unique curriculum and placements in Northern India, but as per my experience, I must say that LPU provides great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. LPU is far way ahead with any other institute in many parameters such as rankings, exposure and placements. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Let me highlight what I have out figured: LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the latest standards.
