Dear Subhadeep, The ECE programme at LPU is very good and the placement of the programme is also good for both B.Tech regular and lateral entry. My friend also did B.Tech in ECE from LPU and got placed in an MNC. LPU provides very good opportunities to all the students of the EEE/ECE department. There are some facts that you would also like about the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering in LPU. Placements: LPU has a good placement record for EEE/ECE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are BOSCH, Microsoft, Code Nation, Adobe, etc. In which students of EEE/ECE are placed. The highest package offered for the ECE programme at LPU is 31 LPA and the average package is 5.1 LPA. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Hands-on Practical: Students who study EEE/ECE from LPU get an opportunity to do practical work in their field more than theoretical as LPU has Robotics and Automation lab, Bosch Lab, and other workshops conducted by this department such as Robotics workshop, Labview workshop, and many more. Specialisation Offered in EEE/ECE: Power Electronics, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, DSP, Robotics And Automation, VLSI, and many more which helps to do more research in their field. Research: All the faculty members are really helpful for all aspects whether it is academics or any other. The lateral entry placements are not much different from what is for the freshers. The record is though same. With average be INR 7 Lacs per annum and the highest be INR 20 LPA. It depends upon you how much early you are capable to adjust with the environment. The faster it will be, the better your chances to follow up with freshers.
