Generally, computer Science refers to designing and building computers and computer programs. Information technology, on the other hand, refers to maintaining and troubleshooting those computers and their networks, systems, and databases to ensure they run smoothly. In specific if we talk about curriculum : CSE: we have machine learning, web development, robotics. AI, Game design, cyber security etc. IT: It primarily deals using, maintaining and improving computer systems with strong focus on courses related to technologies to solve business processes. Both the branches are good at their place. If a student is much interested to become a software engineer then he/she must go for IT, else if they want to work for a product-based or service-based company then go for CSE. I will suggest doing these programme from LPU Jalandhar, Punjab Specializations: CSE students get many specializations while studying CSE to enhance their knowledge according to their interests such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Data Science, etc. Apart from this other benefits are there in LPU while studying for bright students in academics as well as extracurricular activities.
