What are the important tips to balance work life and exam preparation for CFA?

    CFA is a moderate level exam and you can pass it with 4-6 months of preparation.
    Most important is having a proper plan and sticking to it.
    Start with how many hours you have on week days. Try to study at least 1-2 hrs on week days.
    You have to dedicate your weekends completely to the preparation and avoid the temptation of relaxing on those days. I would suggest minimum 6-8 hrs on weekends at least. Actually the time required will vary from person to person depending n his intellectual capability.
    Make sure you use trusted resources and focus on solving more problems and not only reading the theory.

    1. If you travel to work in a public transport the use this time to study, if possible. Use mobile app on your mobile phone and sometimes also carry printed study material while travelling so that you can study while commuting.
    2. If you are a morning person, you can study for some time in the morning.
    3. If you are a night person, you can study till late night.
    4. You can go to a nearby library in your lunchtime to study for some time.
    5. Take about 2 weeks time off before the exam to study, if possible.
    6. You can also join courses which will give you time for preparation of your exam.
