B.Tech in civil engineering is a 4-year course for 12th pass students and B.Arch is a 5-year course for 12th pass students.
B.Tech in civil engineering deals with planning, construction and maintenance of structures such as buildings, roads, stadiums, dams, etc. Aspirant learns about making and planning of structure for personal and social use. B.Arch deals with design, planning and construction of buildings and other physical structures.
Basically, both are doing the job of construction and planning but B.Arch pass outs think design in mind and design on paper and Civil engineers think how to make and make the design happen in reality.

B.Tech in civil engineering and B.Arch are both technical courses. They both offer great opportunistic careers, but the roles are quite different. B.Tech in civil engineering- This is an actual branch of engineering, and is a 4 year course. The actual syllabus covers the study of planning, analyzing, supervision and construction of buildings. Also, the civil engineers are supposed to have administrative skills and supervision. Their profile includes the building of dams, bridges, tunnel, etc. They are responsible to design and plan this construction designs.
