What is it like to move away from corporate world & work for rural India.Is it possible for someone from corporate to adapt into this field?

First of all I would like to clear one thing- IRMA is not only about Development sector or say Rural India (NGOs). IRMA equips you with a balanced mindset (socialist+capitalist) for a managerial job in multiple sectors like finance, marketing, consultancy, dairy (co-operatives), development sector etc. About the second part-Adaptation,my answer would be, it depends on what you want from your life and if you like the things that I am going to mention below,then you would easily adapt into this field. It is. In fact i along with most of friends have left corporate jobs after getting tired of its monotonous nature. The job with a development organization is a dynamic one and even if you can't get adapted, you can always switch back to corporate job.
