Except for LPUNEST, you need to write JEE-Mains for engineering stream. For B.Com, your boards' marks will work. Also, for any other non - technical course, your boards' marks will work, or the marks of any competitive exam particular to that stream in which one wants to take admission.Though, I would suggest you to give LPU-NEST as it will help you to get a better scholarship also.

    hello reader

Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers multiple pathways for admission, depending on the specific programme and your qualifications. While the LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) is a common route, especially for programs like B.Tech, B.Arch, and MBA, it is not mandatory for all courses.

    Programs Where LPUNEST Is Mandatory:

    • B.Tech, B.Arch, MBA: For these programs, LPUNEST serves as both an entrance exam and a scholarship test. However, if you have qualified scores from recognised national-level entrance exams (e.g., JEE Main for B.Tech, NATA for B.Arch, CAT/MAT for MBA), you may be exempt from LPUNEST. I

    Hi there,

If you want to take admission in Lovely Professional University (LPU) without appearing for LPU-NEST, there are alternative ways based on your academic performance and national-level entrance exams.

For most programs, including B.Tech, BBA, BCA, MBA, B.Sc, and others, LPU offers direct admission based on class 12th marks or other national-level entrance exams. If you have a high percentage in 12th (above 70-80%), you may be eligible for admission without appearing for LPU-NEST. Additionally, LPU considers scores from JEE (for B.Tech), NATA (for Architecture), CUET, CAT, MAT, XAT (for MBA), and NEET (for medical-related courses

While the LPUNEST is the most common method to get to LPU, entrance can also be gotten based on scores in a qualifying examination. Only a few programs require students to take entrance tests and only those who sat for the test can apply through LPU's online portal provided the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission into their programme of choice, generally, a pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination. LPU also considers the scores of national level entrance exams such as JEE (Main), NATA, CAT or any other as applicable to the program. This is due to the university's scholarships given out depending on such scores to ma

While the LPUNEST is the most prevalent method to gain admission to LPU, entry can also be obtained based on scores in a qualifying examination. Only a limited number of programs ask students to undertake entrance tests, and solely those who have taken the test may apply via LPU's online portal, provided that the candidates meet the eligibility criteria for admission into their programme of choice, typically requiring a pass in 10+2 or an equivalent examination. LPU also takes into account the scores of national level entrance exams like JEE (Main), NATA, CAT, or any other as relevant to the program. This is because the university prov

Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers admission through multiple routes apart from the LPU-NEST. Here's how you can proceed:

    Admission Process Without LPU-NEST

    • B.Tech: JEE Main scores.
    • Law: CLAT or LSAT India scores.
    • Architecture: NATA or JEE Main (Paper 2) scores.

If you meet the required cut-off for these exams, you can directly apply for admission.

In such cases, if you meet the university's required cutoff for th

Dear, Yes, if you miss the first phase of LPU NEST, you can still apply for the next phase. Lovely Professional University conducts LPU NEST in multiple phases each year to give students several chances to appear for the exam and qualify for admission or scholarships. You simply need to check the updated schedule on the official LPU website and complete the registration process for the upcoming phase. However, applying in the earlier phases is recommended, as it often provides better chances for higher scholarships and early admission to preferred programs.

Dear,   The amount of time you should spend daily preparing for LPUNEST depends on your current knowledge level, the programme you are applying for, and how much time is left before the exam. On average, it is recommended to dedicate 2–4 hours daily for focused preparation over several months.

For students appearing for B.Tech or science-based programs, daily sessions can be divided into 1 hour each for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and 30 minutes for English and Aptitude, with short breaks in between. Dear, To manage time effectively during the LPU NEST exam, start by carefully reading all the instructions and understanding the question pattern before you begin. Divide your total exam time based on the number of questions—allocate a few minutes to each and avoid spending too long on any single question.

Begin with the sections or questions you find the easiest to build confidence and secure quick marks, then move on to more challenging ones. Keep track of time using the on-screen timer and make sure to leave a few minutes at the end to review your answers. Practice mock tests regularly before the exam to improve your speed and accu
