Cracking the UGC NET exam you can apply for assistant professor and if you are able to clear JRF exam and then you can do research in the relevant field.
As far as my research is concerned with the vacancies of Assistant professor almost all the colleges has stopped recruiting the applicant on permanent basis (Here I am referring the DU colleges, since I reside in Delhi therefore I am aware about Delhi colleges only). They hire the applicant on Adhoc/contract basis and if they find the incumbent suitable then they tend to renew the contract period.
Therefore for applying to Assistant professor job one needs to empanel himself/herself int
