There is no difference between the two degrees, at present. Both have the same syllabus and the same type of jobs to offer to you. Also, the companies which recruit you on campus do not discriminate between the two. Ideally, a B.E. course should be teaching you more about the concept applied in engineering, along with the domain fundamentals, while a B.Tech course should be teaching you the applications of those principles, fundamentals and other concepts. The two, however, have no such differences in reality, and you need not worry about any differences in terms of job prospects. As long as you're suited for engineering, you'll ace co

There could be many differences that could be stated but the most important is that the B.Tech course is somewhat more practically intensive than the BE course which is more theoretical.
The name could also pose as a difference that is engineering versus technology, but that actually does not matter. Although for better understanding you could say that:
Engineering is a 'science', dealing more with theoretical concepts & principles; technology deals more with the application of these theories for practical purposes. But, both BE & B.Tech courses offered by various engineering colleges/ institutes have similar curriculum more or less. Bot

Hello, there is a thin line that differentiates between BE i.e. Bachelor of Engineering and B.Tech i.e. Bachelor of Technology, and it is quite evident from the names itself, Engineering and Technology. There is more focus on theory in the Bachelor of Engineering ( a particular course structure's marking scheme will be 80 for theory 20 for practicals) and a little bit more focus on the practical learning with theory in Bachelor of Technology. ( a particular course structure's marking scheme will be 60 for theory 40 for practicals)
Comparing historically, you can call B.tech. as a western degree. Earlier in India, all universities were

    Hey there
Well, they are exactly same but there is a little difference:
B.E is all about knowledge and B.Tech is all about skills.
BE curriculum consist of 80% theory and 20% practical whereas B.Tech curriculum have 60% theory and 40% practical.
A course in Bachelor of Engineering deals more at the engineering aspects of science while a course in Bachelor of Technology deals with the technology aspects.
B.Tech is all about gaining practical knowledge and skills whereas BE focused more on research during academic which is helpful for higher studies.
But both of them are similar having equal scope and future in terms of course curriculum, stan

B.Tech. is quite more practical as compared to BE which is a little bit theoretical. Generally, in the B.Tech course, you get to do more projects along with final year major project through which you can enhance your practical knowledge and skills, whereas in BE, in the final year you get to do your major project. Employability of both of these degrees is same.
But, at the end, it doesn't matter whether you have B.Tech or BE. It is how much knowledge you have, matters!

Following are the differences between BE and B.Tech
    #BE (Bachelor in Engineering)
*Bachelor in Engineering is a graduate level program done directly after a student's 10+2. After a student's 12th exam, the candidate has to appear for any state or national level engineering entrance through which he or she will get admittance into an engineering college. The course of this degree focuses on theoretical knowledge needed to innovate technology and make new technical gadgets.
*BE is considered a knowledge-oriented course where more emphasis is given on the theoretical part of the curriculum.
*Industrial visits and internship might be an essent

The only difference that matters is this:
"The B.Tech course is somewhat more practically rigorous than the BE course is more theoretical".
The difference (which is quite minor) between the two degrees can be understood from their names itself, Engineering vs Technology.
Engineering is a "science", dealing additionally with theoretical concepts & principles; technology deals more with the application of these theories for practical determinations. But, both B.E. & B.Tech courses provided by numerous engineering colleges/institutes, have similar curriculum more or less. Both degrees are valued equally by potential employers. What matters m
