B.E. stands for Bachelor of Engineering and B.Tech. stands for Bachelor of Technology. Both are undergraduate degrees conferred after completion of a three to four year program of engineering studies at a college or university level.
There is no difference between these two degree courses BE and B-Tech. Both are engineering degrees and their scope and value are the same. You will never be rejected higher education or a job just because you are a BE and not a B-tech holder or vice versa. The only difference in the name is because in those colleges/universities that offer only engineering courses, the degree is known as B-tech and in tho

    Hi,
Let's start by busting some myths.
    1. B.Tech and BE has nothing to do with the branch. Some people say particular branches offer B.Tech and others offer BE which is a myth.
    2. Again B.Tech doesn't mean circuital branches as it has word tech in it.
    3. B.Tech is offered by government colleges while BE is offered by private colleges. Biggest misconception one can have.
    So, what's the difference?
In actual terms there is no difference between B.Tech and BE. Some of the sources say that BE is more theoretical and focuses on that part while B.Tech is more application based. In a way BE is more close to pure sciences and B.Tech is not.

Bachelor in Engineering is a graduate level program done directly after a student's 10+2. After a student's 12th exam, the candidate has to appear for any state or national level engineering entrance through which he or she will get admittance into an engineering college. The course of this degree focuses on theoretical knowledge needed to innovate technology and make new technical gadgets.B.E. is considered a knowledge oriented course where more emphasis is given on the theoretical part of the curriculum.
Bachelor in Technology is also a graduate level program done directly after a student's 10+2. After a student's 12th exam, the candi

    Hi,
Research has shown that engineering remains the most sought after under graduate course in India (this was published by the National Council of Advanced Economic Research). The many institutes that offer under-graduate courses offer either B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) or B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology). One of the most commonly asked question by engineering aspirants is the difference between the two degrees. Is it just a difference in the name/ nomenclature of the degrees or does the course curricula differ as well?
B.Tech course is somewhat more practically intensive than the BE course which is more theoretical. The difference (wh

There is very small difference between Bachelor of engineering (BE) and Bachelor of technology (B.Tech). But companies do not discriminate between BE students and B.Tech students during their selection process. Bachelor of engineering focus more on theory whereas Bachelor of technology focus more on practical skills. In Bachelor of engineering (BE), out of 100, 80% marks is for theory and 20% is for practical. While in B.Tech 60% theory and 20% practical. Some companies may prefer B.Tech students due to their practical skills but chances are rare. Top reputed colleges like Birla Institute of Technology And Science (BITs) Pilani, Rajast
