What is the difference between CGC and CU?

<p>Both colleges are good. Both provides good placement specially for software branches. The only difference is that Chandigarh university also have collaboration with foreign universities also.</p>

CU is deemed university with NAAC A+ grade with CU is college affiliated to PTU. CU has collaboration with foreign universities to have semester exchange programmes. CU is also accredited by NAAC A+ grade. handigarh university attract all the top level multi nationals, there were some really great companies. All of the students apply for them. About 20 to 30 percent of the students who apply for placements got in with some company or the other. Some major recruiters were companies like TCS, Amazon, IBM, ICICI, AMAZON etc. Secondly CU has UGC-DEB approved Distance Education Courses as well. Thirdly, the placements and internships are unmatchable at Chandigarh University. The Corporate Resource cell assures that each and every student gets placed. Lastly, the course curriculum are very much inline wit the current industry needs. And the faculty is well qualified and highly knowledgeable in their respective fields.Chandigarh University is much more better as its providing good facilities to their students. They make sure that proper record is maintained of every individual student so that students performance can be improved. CU is much better in this case. From large playgrounds to mammoth building, beautiful gardens and lawns and long roads It will make your campus experience a very good one. The campus is just awesome and beautiful. Clean and green

Both CGC and CU have successfully created a strong position as the leading educational institutes by offering various career opportunities. One can easily explore and choose the best option as per the choice. Although there are some similarities and differences between the two which I would like to highlight: 1. Affiliation and Recognition: CGC is affiliated to Punjab Technical University whereas CU is a Private University. The students passing out from CGC will be conferred degrees from PTU. Simultaneously, Chandigarh University is a full-fledged university established by the Punjab State Legislature and is included in the list of universities maintained by University Grants Commission under Section 2 (f) with the right to confer degrees. 2. Location: CGC is well connected to Mohali and Chandigarh which means better means of transport and other facilities are available without any difficulty. On the other hand, CU is also at a reasonable distance from these cities but you will have to cover a bit of a distance. Since it is situated on the Chandigarh - Ludhiana national highway, there are ample bus services available for Mohali, Chandigarh and Ludhiana. 3. Placements: As far as placements is concerned, both the institutes have set themselves as the leaders in providing excellent placements and students have been able to grab the best packages available in the industry. Joint placement drives are also conducted and the number of selections is great as the students had given excellent performance in written exams and interviews. 4. Scholarships and Education Loan for Students: At CU and CGC, various scholarships and freeships have been introduced to identify and reward the exceptional students. Special schemes for wards of defence personnel, sports based scholarships and other schemes like Education loan etc. Are also accessible to facilitate meritorious students. Department of Student Welfare (DSW), a student care and supervision center, serves as a link between students and administration. CU intent and objective of achieving global recognition by providing quality teaching- learning environment. So yes both of them have been working consistently to achieve this goal. CU, within a short span of time, has emerged as a distinguished institute committed to offer quality education and has been ranked among the Asias Best &amp; the fastest Growing Private Universities by WCRC. CU is better than CGC Landran in terms of infrastructure, facilities and courses. Chandigarh University is much more better as its providing good facilities to their students. They make sure that proper record is maintained of every individual student so that students performance can be improved. CU is much better in this case. From large playgrounds to mammoth building, beautiful gardens and lawns and long roads It will make your campus experience a very good one. The campus is just awesome and beautiful. Clean and green. Besides the hostels and food are good enough. Centrally cooled modern hostels. The academic block classrooms are nice.

Hi Bhavuk There are a lot of difference between CGC and CU. Firstly, CU is a NAAC A+ graded deemed University and has over 70 programs running pertaining to each and every field. Secondly CU has UGC-DEB approved Distance Education Courses as well. Thirdly, the placements and internships are unmatchable at Chandigarh University. The Corporate Resource cell assures that each and every student gets placed. Lastly, the course curriculum are very much inline wit the current industry needs. Chandigarh university is a UGC NAAC A+ University, apart then infrastructure and teaching staff the Placement Scenario in CU was pretty good. Chandigarh university attract all the top level multi nationals, there were some really great companies. All of the students apply for them. About 20 to 30 percent of the students who apply for placements got in with some company or the other. Some major recruiters were companies like TCS, Amazon, IBM, ICICI, AMAZON etc. Chandigarh university give great exposure to all of the students, when we are talking about CGC its group of colleges, the Chandigarh University is any day better than CGC in all manner, Infra structure, teaching facility and placements, one should choose Chandigarh University for better future.

CGC and CU both run under the same management, however, there is a difference in terms of fee structure as well as faculty. The fee structure of CU is high in comparison to CGC. CU sure has scholarship opportunities but after the scholarship, fees will be the same as CGC so not much of a difference. As far as placement is concerned, they both conduct their placement drives at the same time and provide similar packages. The faculty of CU is amazing as well. However, the location of both of them might create a difference in choice.
