CLAT and AILET are the two most prominent law entrance exams in India to get admission to NLU. The following are the differences between CLAT and AILET papers:
    1. Score acceptance: The CLAT score is accepted for admission to 22 NLUs, whereas the AILET exam is administered for admission to the NLU, Delhi.
    2. Duration: The AILET exam lasts 90 minutes, while the CLAT exam lasts 120 minutes.
    3. Pattern: The total marks are 150 in both tests, but the AILET exam has only three sections whereas the CLAT exam has five sections.
    4. Difficulty Level: As per the analysis of previous exams, the AILET is considered more difficult than the CLAT.

The difficulty of CLAT is however moderate compared to AILET. It is also tough to keep up with the exam time and negative marking in CLAT the duration of exam is of 2 hours, the duration of AILET is 1 hour 30 minutes. Securing seat in AILET is however difficult because of the competition. 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer in both the exams. Syllabus for both the exams vary.
