Hotels can receive a rating of 1 to 5 stars, stars denotes the available facilities and standard in the hotel. Star classification is done by department of tourism, Government of India committed known as HRACC (hotel & restaurant approval & classification committee) once the hotel owner send an application for the classification, committee members visit and grade the hotel.

Hotels can be given a star rating between 1 and 5, with more stars indicating better amenities and quality standards. Following receipt of an application for classification from the hotel owner, the HRACC (hotel & restaurant approval & classification committee) of the Government of India visits the hotel to assign it a star rating. One-star accommodations that merely offer the basic minimum for a single night's stay A B.Ed. And bathroom are provided in each room of a two-star hotel, along with possibly a few minimal amenities.

It is a common knowledge that more star means a better hotel but there is no international standard for allocating them. Hotels are either self-assessed, in which case the owners can give themselves 7 stars if they feel they deserve them, or they are assessed by private companies, as is the case in the UK, or the government.
The following is a general guideline of what you can expect from hotels that are star rated:
1 Star: Basic room options, shared bathroom facilities in some cases and a vending machine near the lobby where meals are self-served.
2 Star: Basic room options, colour tv and an in-house bar/restaurant.
    3 Star: Multiple room

Technically the HRAC (Hotel & Restaurant Association Committee) is responsible for this but it obvious that these star categorisation can be understood on the basis of a few fixed parameters:
The size: No. of floors, no. of rooms, area of hotel and location.
    The tariff.
The extra amenities provided to the guest.
The fooding setup: whether they provide multicultural cuisine in multi-restaurant setups or singl
