  • The marking of the UGC NET exam has been given below for the candidates. Following the marking scheme for the UGC NET exam the candidates who are willing to appear in the UGC NET exam can understand the exam pattern and prepare for the exam well. The marking will also help the candidate to count the probable scores from the UGC NET provisional answer key that is released by the National Testing Agency (NTA): a)Correct answer: 2 b) Incorrect answer: No negative mark c) Unanswered/marked for review: 0 (no marks given) d) Incorrect or ambiguous question/has multiple correct answers: 2 to those who have chosen one of the correct answers.     The National Testing Agency (NTA) has established the exam pattern for the UGC NET 2023. According to the most recent pattern, the UGC NET 2023 examination is divided into two papers, namely Paper 1 and Paper 2, each lasting for a duration of 3 hours. Both papers consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of the objective type. A total of 150 questions are presented to candidates, encompassing both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Importantly, the UGC NET exam does not implement a negative marking system, meaning candidates are rewarded for correct responses without facing any deductions for incorrect ones.
