LPU has more than 200 courses and every course has certain eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by a candidate get admission. For admission in B Tech. A candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Math) or equivalent. Here I want to update you. Due to COVID-19, LPU supports admission to his students by online mode with certain changes in process. I suggest you to visit university website or call on their toll free number for more information. LPU is also offering various scholarships to students in this pandemic situation. The scholarships such as COVID-19 front line scholarship to service mans and their wards, scholarship on best one out of last two qualifications of a student, LPU NEST (a national level admission cum scholarship test conducted by LPU), Sports person, ward of defense personal are offered by LPU. Vishal, for admission to B.Tech (ME), you need to be pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) or In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. Hi Vishal, this year lovely professional University has relaxed their eligibility criteria due to pandemic situation of coronavirus spread in the country. Now you can take admission in mechanical engineering prior to qualify LPU NEST exam but it is for sure that you will have to qualify LPU NEST exam. You can consider it as a benefit that if you will take admission prior to 31st May you will be e liable to get maximum scholarship benefits moreover there are offering scholarships on the basis of percentage in previous two qualifications that is 12th and 10th class board. Hello, Recently I have processed my brother's admission in Lovely Professional University through online mode. I spoke to the admission counselors, they guided me and then through LPU website I completed all the formalities. I will share the complete steps in detail and you can follow that. Also, if you face any issue, you can connect to admission counselors at LPU, I must appreciate them that they are guiding so well and listening patiently to each of the parent's or student's query. First of all look forward with the eligibility of B.Tech Mechanical engineering on their website. As per my knowledge it is 60% in Class 12th and LPU NEST. Once you are sure that you are fulfilling the eligibility, you can process your admission online with following steps : Step 1 - Signup Register onto LPUADMIT with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No. , State, Gender and Password). Your email id will act as your username for the portal and password will be set by you while registering on the portal. You will get a mail on your registered email id regarding this. Login to the LPUADMIT with already created username/ password. Step 2 - Application for admission Fill the application form. Select your programme from the Available Programme List. You may now proceed with admission or apply LPU NEST by pressing "Back to Dashboard" button in the left panel and then proceed with LPU NEST application by pressing "For LPU NEST 2020" button and apply for LPU NEST. Details about LPU NEST application are given in Step 3. Deposit initial payment of Rs. 10000 (Application fee: Rs 500, rest under Programme fee of first semester). After the successful realization of the payment:Prospectus will be dispatched at your correspondence address. A Unique Provisional Registration No. Will be generated and sent to your registered Email ID. Upload the necessary documents:Recent Photograph, Date of Birth proof (Matric certificate, Aadhaar card etc. )Qualifying exam certificate. In case the qualifying exam certificate is not available at the time of filling this application form (recently appeared), it may be submitted later also. LPU is renowned private university which floats more than 250 programmes. One of my friend inquired about Mechanical Engineering programme and I also came to know that the students who scored 60% in 10+2 with (English, Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPU NEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPU NEST. After meeting the eligibility /satisfying the condition of eligibility, you may proceed for admission online because due to COVID-19 LPU has opened the admissions through online mode only. In addition to this, LPU is offering scholarships on the basis of caliber of the student. I will advise you to book the seat before 31-5-2020 to fetch the maximum benefit of scholarship.

Lpu is a renowned university situated in Punjab, well known for its rankings, accreditation, placements, teaching style, activities and events apart from academics etc. Currently, the admissions are open online. You can apply for admission on or before 31st May 2020 to avail the maximum scholarship benefits. To proceed for admission you have to visit the website. Click on the admission tab. Choose your programme Sign up with your details Apply for admission by paying initial amount Apply for LPU NEST exam by booking the slot. Minimum 60 percentages are required for LPU NEST exam in case you have 90 percentages or 90 percentile in JEE Mains than you can apply directly. LPU NEST not only works as an entrance exam but also provides you scholarship which will be reduced from the fees of every semester. Hope I have answered your query.
