It depends on the college from which you graduated as well as your knowledge. It is possible to have attended a reputable university but not put much effort into your studies. If this is the case, employers will test you for knowledge necessary for the position, and you will forfeit the offer. If you get an Economics honours degree from one of the top 10 institutions, your pay, assuming you are from Sharda University, might range from Rs. 8 to Rs. 10 Lacs annually. You will get an annual salary of Rs. 20 to 40 thousand from the remaining colleges.
  • The starting salary for an economics graduate from Delhi University can range from INR 6 LPA to INR 15 LPA, with top-tier colleges like SRCC and St. Stephen's potentially offering higher packages, according to online sources. The actual salary depends on factors like the specific role, the recruiting company, and the individual's skills and experience.

It totally depends on the knowledge of the student. If the student has good knowledge and skills then he/she will get a good salary package. If I talk about the salary of an economic graduate from DU, the average package is 8-9 LPA. The highest package is 18 LPA.
